Prayer for Existence

This prayer is for
me
you
friends
family
neighbors
community
state
region
country
all countries
all continents
all oceans
globes
atmospheres
spaces
universe
galaxies
cosmos
all beings

great and minuscule
interstellar
unseen

for consciousness

If you have lost others or yourself,
may you feel comfort
may you remember
may the thread that connects
us all
show you light and
small miracles
in the morning dew on a flower petal
in a dragonfly landing on a tree branch
in someone holding the door for you
in a dream that explains something you
never understood awake
in a moment you faced a fear and found
it wasn’t that bad
in trying one more time
in slowing down
in the flow of water
in the trees offering shade, soaking up rain,
branches to birds, oxygen
every single day on earth

and beyond

in the sun and the stars
in flight
in breath
